 Remote Tent

The MTRI has been provided with a fully furnished portable field station thanks to a series of generous private donations.  The field station consists of a large (12’x14’) canvas prospector tent weighing approximately 72 lbs including poles. The tent is furnished with cots, chairs, a stove, and kitchen equipment for comfortable living as well as tables and lots of space to get in out of the elements.

Borrowing the Tent

The portable field station is housed at MTRI office and is available for loan to all members. Priority is given to those conducting research activities that take place in the Tobeatic, otherwise the tent is available on a first come, first served basis. Contact us to make arrangements.
